The first impression that someone gets of your home, and the first thing that you see when you get home from a long day is your front lawn. If it’s overgrown, if it’s wild with weeds, if it looks like nobody takes care of it, then this is not going to pass the vibe check. It will look like nobody cares about the state of the house, and this is not the impression that you want to give. It might have simply been the case that you haven’t had time to take care of it properly over the last couple of months, but you’ve got to stop making excuses and just fix it.
Get out there and cut the grass, pull out the weeds, and make it look pretty. Perhaps add some flowers if you have time to maintain them, or add a little garden ornament if you just want something to stand out a little.
The Color Of The Interior
It’s also a good idea to think carefully about the interior of the home. What color have you painted? Did you even bother to paint when you moved in or are the walls still a white/off white color like they usually are when you move into a new place? Some people don’t really decorate their home when they move in further than putting up a few pictures, but this is not how you create a home. So, think about the color! You can then put these on the wall and work out which one you like the best.
Choosing a color is massively important, so don’t just pick the first one that you kind of like. It’s a process that requires a lot of thought, and if you decide that you want different colors in different areas of the house, then you need to think carefully how they will work together.
Get Creative With Your Decor
Next up on the list, you need to get creative with your decor. If you’ve never really been the type to do this, it’s always a good time to try something new. Getting creative with your decor is an exciting thing that you can do, and it helps you to really feel connected with your home. If you put the effort into creating things for your space, then you are going to feel an even bigger sense of accomplishment when you see the end result. Back Garden Needs Attention Too

You need to head out there and make sure that it’s not an overgrown nightmare to the point where you can’t use the space. Your garden should be somewhere that you can relax, not somewhere that you fear going in because you know that it’s like a jungle back there. Take the time to get things sorted back there, maybe even putting in a seating area so that you can really make the most of the space that you have got in your home.
If you keep up with the general maintenance, then there’s really no reason that things should get so bad. So, once you’ve got it down, work on keeping it like that.
Repairs Everywhere? Not Good
Last but by no means least, if there are repairs all over your home that need doing, this is not good. This is a massive issue for the vibe of your home as it’s just going to be giving off neglected vibes rather than homey vibes which is not what you want. There are some repairs that you are going to be able to do yourself, and there are others that you will need to call in the professionals for, but no matter what, they need to be sorted. Get this done asap and your home will already feel so much better.
Your home should be the place in the world where you feel the most comfortable, but this is unlikely to be the case if you are always put off by the vibes that it gives. The only person responsible for this is you though, so you have got to make the conscious decision to change the vibes if you are no longer happy with how the home feels.
