These are the things to get down on paper before making a decision like this!
Does Your Home Need to Be Multifunctional?
This is a question for anyone who runs their own business from home. Do you need office space, or somewhere to meet with clients, or even your own studio, workroom, or treatment room? If you’re running your own salon, the latter will be an incredibly important consideration for you!

Do You Have Access to the Right Land?
Finding the right space for your own new build can be tricky. Land is usually worth more than property, and it’s harder to search for free plots than it is to find something already in your price range.
If you can find the right space, brilliant! If you can’t, you may have turned your eye to buying a high maintenance, low cost property you can do up instead. But if that house turns out to be much more of a fixer upper than you were expecting, it could actually open up the ability to build your own house once again.
